Subject: Studying in Canada while waiting for PR

Hello everybody,

I have applied for PR last year. Wanted to know from u all, especially Yijee, if i cud go in for a PG course from a Canadian univ. (on a study permit) while i wait for my application to go thru´.

I also wanted to know during the study period whether -

1. I wud be required to transfer my file to Canada or

2. Can I give a canadian address for that period or

3. Do i necessarily have to let my file remain here in India with a local address. Then what happens when i get a PP submission request ?

4. If i go to Canada on a study permit, wud CIC allow me to carry on with my PR application process or wud i need to cancel it and reapply in Canada ?

Really confused, please help me out ....

Thanks all of u.

You are confused and are you confussing us here too..

Where is your file...
if in India and you have applied just last year then it iwll take about 4 years (as of now) to get the answer...

Better move the file to Buffalo if you are staying in Canada.

Second, if you are in Canada then just find work instead of going for PG.

And, If you are in India and have filed in India and want to come to Canada for a PG course then sure you can apply and see what New Delhi says about it... Final word is from the New Delhi CIC.
