Subject: Good Immigration Lawyer in Canada
I have already tried to migrate two of my brothers from Croatia but our application was rejected. It is hard for me to sponsor them following regular process.

I am affraid to try again since we alrady tried. I am hearing that hiring an immigration lawyer would be the best way to go. I don´t know any lawyers especially not immigration lawyers. Did anybody had any expirience in this field.

Money is not the bigest problem, but I need a reliable lawyer in Canada that will do the work. Any referals would help.

Thank you,
Steve.

Legal Referral May Not Be the Answer (in reply to: Good Immigration Lawyer in Canada)
Hi Steve.

Unfortunately, a good immigration lawyer may not be the answer to your problems, as the law can not be circumnavigated by a cunning or savvy practitioner (unless you have grounds for Federal Court standing that can result in a precedent setting decision; but this is different from what I previously implied). However, if you are being rejected for reasons that are unfair or appealable, or you are simply misunderstanding the application process, then professional assistance can offer significant benefits to you.

If you care to relay more about your circumstances in this forum, then perhaps I, and others, can help. Or, consider contacting me directly, as I have considerable insight in these matters. If nothing else, I may be able to provide you with a legal referral.

Sincerely,

Fin Counceler (in reply to: Good Immigration Lawyer in Canada)
I beleive there are Canadian Immigration councelers. So that you don´t need to pay for a lawyer but see a counceler. The only thing is that you may need set up an appointment and perhaps wait for the available time slot.
Best Regards,
Sam

Canadian Immigration Counselors (in reply to: Good Immigration Lawyer in Canada)
Hi Sam.

Unfortunately, Citizenship and Immigration Canada does not have counselors. However, they do have a call centre (1-888-242-2100), specifically for "Within Canada" applications only (no Skilled Worker/Entrepreneur/Self Employed etc. questions).

That said, I am guessing that Steve has attempted to contact them, and learned what so many others already know - it´s difficult to reach, and not of much value when one does get through.

Sincerely,
Dennis Caul

Lawyers are still useful here! (in reply to: Good Immigration Lawyer in Canada)
Well, good point Dennis, but still lawyers know all those holes in the system that will make people´s life easier and that will make what normally is not possible. That is their job anyway to make impossible possible.

Just talking from my experience.

Laywer or not (in reply to: Good Immigration Lawyer in Canada)
If you have money get the lawyer, if you don´t have drill yourself.
Beth versions are totally acceptable it is just the question what you have, what you can and when do you need it.

Need some information (in reply to: Good Immigration Lawyer in Canada)
Hi,

How are you? Providing you some information about the situation I had with an ?Immigration Consulting Farm? they are located at Vancouver B.C. I am from Bangladesh and got married to a Canadian Citizen in Bangladesh, after that we went to this Law office to help me with all the papers and the information I need and by the it was not ?Free? either.

After waiting year and half and collecting those unnecessary document finally, Singapore sends my whole file back because of ?The Medical? is missing and the consultant admit that it was her fault (do have all the document). She the one told my wife that she doesn?t need to go back to Canada, if she wants she can stay in Bangladesh. But the Immigration from Canada calls over here and ask her ?what she is doing over here?? So with in a week she had to go back to Canada after that found out she is pregnant. According to our lawyer she told us ?We both will go together? that?s why we plan to have a baby. Now my wife she is in Canada for last five month and going through this pregnancy by herself and I am in Bangladesh, waiting for my papers.

Will you please tell me ?Do I have a case?? If you need more information please let me know and the way I said, I have the entire document you need. If you do this case that?s fine and if not, do you know who does?

Thank you

Shaikh N Hoque
