Subject: I owe Big time to Canada !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  Hi All,

Just to share my experiences...

My parents were rejected twice for visitors visa by USA Consulate, first in april 2005 and again in May 2005 inspite of all possible documents we could possibly prepare to convince US consulate that our parents have no intention what so ever of settling in US and that they were only travelling to visit my brother and for tourism!! They were not convinced!

Anyways...We were advised by many consultants in India that if US embassy refuses visitors visa then Canadian embassy is sure to reject you too.And we had two visa rejections !! That made our case even more tough.

There was only one sane consultant who said no,its not true.

We applied for Canadian visitors visa and fortunately my parents got six months visitors visa.

I owe big time to Canada and the officials who handled my parents application. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

Thanks for not considering why US has refused visitors visa twice caz there was simply no logic to their refusal. My dad is retired and the response of the US Visa officer was that you dont have money to travel.I thought that answer was outrageous! Caz it is not true and she said that without seeing the documents my parents had prepared certified by banks and chartered accountants.

The importance of their visit... I am landing on 5th June and I wanted my parents to accompany me,meet my husband and my parents in Law and attend my wedding reception.

The reason we tried for US Visitors visa...so my parents could visit my brother in USA at the same time they were planning trip to Canada..But USA visa officials are all too strict and what not....They refused, not once but twice. My dad is 60 plus.He went thru so much for the interviews with US visa officers,it was painful for me to see.
On the other hand, the Canadian visa application was handled by VFS therefore it saved my parents a lot of trouble and anxiety.

Anyways, I am glad I chose Canada as my new home over USA!!

My experience... I love Canada. It has a bigger heart! And I owe Canada big time.

Jas

I am a chartered accountant by proffession.I recently returned from US after completing my MS in accounting.

And I am now immigrating to Canada under spouse sponsorship.I was one of the fortunate ones who recd their immigrant visa in less than two months from Delhi CHC.

i understand spousal sponsorship takes about 3 months if you would have applied under independent category it would have taken you atleast 4 to 5 yrs
so you are immigrating to toronto right

VFS (in reply to: I owe Big time to Canada !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
VFS -this office in New Delhi provides Visa facilitaion services for Canada,UK,Italy,Shengen visa etc.

For Canadian visitors visa you can submit documents and application to VFS and they forward it to the Candian consulate. If an interview is required then they will schedule it.Generally interview is not required and the application result is known when the VFS returns the passport next day.

Much better I think.Especially for elders and seniors who dont have to go thru anxiety of formal interview unneccessarily!!

VFS - Pure Business Mentality (in reply to: I owe Big time to Canada !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
VFS ALSO REJECTS VISA WITH OUT PROPER REASON.I came to canada .and started a business a year back , and my wife used to help me at my restaurant and with a toddler aged 2 year , but with the 2nd child i tried to bring her mother just to look after my wife due on june 29th. she booked the tickets, went to new delhi with all hard ships . again rejected her visa.
they possibly reject because they make millions in visa fees.appyling again means more money to the private firms handling visa
