Subject: regarding: application to sponsor and undertaking
  1) I find question number 1 on the application to sponsor and undertaking hard to answer.

If you are found ineligible to sponsor, indicate wherter you want
a) to withdraw your sponsorship. All processing fees less 75 will be repaid
b)To proceed with the application for permanent residence.

I would like to know which box is best to check off, I would like my money back in case of being ineligible but i would like the right of appeal.

2)Should I fill in N/A in every single box and space that does not apply too me, like the date spaces?

3)I was born in Israel but my mother is a canadian citizen, thus I became a citizen automatically: On question number 10 of the same form asks: Are you a canadian citizen, if yes "became a citizen on" Should I fill in my date of birth?

4)Is it crucial to write down the exact days on questions that require you to write Day/month/year. It is really hard to remember exact dates like when my spouse met my family or when I started my job, etc.

DO YOU WANT YOUR MONEY BACK OR DO YOU WANT TO APPEAL...make a choice then check a box.

THE DATE SPACES NOT SO MUICH BUT IT BETTER TO HAVE n/a WHEREVER YOU CAN PUT IT

YES

Question number one was a sore spot for me too. I looked further into it and this is what I came up with: You can NOT appeal the decision that you are ineligible to sponsor. The appeal process is relevant to the person you are sponsoring in the event that he or she is refused a PR visa.

If you check the box to have the right to an appeal, it just means the application will be sent overseas for processing even if you have been turned down as a sponsor. This means the person you are sponsoring WILL be refused a PR visa on the grounds that he or she does not have a sponsor, and that you can appeal THAT decision. You WILL lose unless there are extreme humanitarian reasons to support the case. The person you had failed to sponsor will carry a record of having being refused. This may negatively prejudice future applications.

If you check the box to get a refund, this means the entire application kit will be returned to you if you fail to meet the requirements to be a sponsor, without ever being sent over seas. All you have to do is improve your situation so that you do meet the requirements and then apply again. There will be no record of the person you are sponsoring ever having been rejected because his or her application will not have ever been assigned a file number.

I checked the box to get a refund and the entire application returned to me.

I agree with the above poster on the rest of your questions. But I will add that if you feel a question does not adequately provide an option to fully explain your circumstance, then don?t be shy about elaborating further on an additional sheet of paper. The explanation you provided for us in your third question would be a perfect example of what you could add to your application.

I hope this helps.
