Dear people:
I have a canadian dollar account opened in a bank outside Canada and I deposited about 20,000 CAD in that. Now, if I am to enter Canada before Sept 2005, what kind of funds are needed as evidence/ proof. I am still not clear as to what should I carry or what should I deposit, where and how.....May be some experienced person can clarify.......with some specifics. I am aware Saleh does know about these.
I now have more than 1-credit card, CAD account, and other bank accounts.
Question:
1. Do I need to carry all of these along with?
2. Given my credit cards, how much do u think I should carry along in person??
3. Do I still have to open an account with a bank in Canada??
Appreicate your responses. Thank you very much.

(in reply to: Proof at entry ??) Very tough questions to answer. To tell the truth, nobody gave a damn about money when I entered Canada, except ask me how much I have on me. I had about 4500 US. All else was just a bunch of paperwork.

Proof at entry ?? (in reply to: Proof at entry ??) Did they ask to look at the paperwork?

(in reply to: Proof at entry ??) Thx In-Canada for the respoonse. As you see, am still not clear. I can perhaps take about 5000 USD in hand and the remaining in bank balances and credit cards!! Would this be OK?? We are a family with a baby (so, 3 members).
Thanks.
