Subject: Unemployment during PR processing
  hi,

Our (family) application was received by CIC last 2004. during the period of processing, I lost my job here in the US, since my H1B visa sponsoring company maintains my status, I opted to stay in the US trying my luck while waiting for our Canada papers. Our file was transferred to detroit last March 2005 and now waiting for interview....will my luck of employment adversely affect our application?

thanks for any inputs...

Of course, it may negatively affect your application and you may face difficulties in your selection interview. In my opinion, it is time to update visa office regarding your present situation, so they´ll not only better assess your position but recognize it as your positive attitude.

Thanks for your inputs. I don´t really like to sound dishonest or something...but is there a way for them to know I don´t have a job here in the US anymore? I applied via Provincial Nominee and I have a guaranteed job offer in Canada. Will this make a difference?

Thanks again.

NO it doesn´t affect
I quit my job one month after I filed the application and took off and havent worked since then... that almost 13 months now...

there is no problmw ith my application... you ahve already gained your required points for work so your 67+ points will not reduce...

so you are fine... dont worry about the application... it will go thry easily...

Right now... I have sent my passport for stamping to Buffalo... and I expect it back in two weeks :)

Cheers,
HS

Hi HS,

Thanks for your inputs. Were you given an interview waiver or were you interviewed?

Thanks.
