I am very much releived, my parents got their visa yesterday.
They applied earlier in april´05 thru VFS Chennai and was rejected for insufficient ties to home country.
They reapplied again on end of may´05 but this time thru a travel agent and got visa sucessfully.
No interview no medicals.
Every document and reasons were same as first application only added documents were my passport copy, a reapply letter from me to visa officer,and personal affidavits from my parents,Medical insurance receipt for period of stay.

Of course the additional docs were important and required.
Each office in India gets about 500 applications a day. With about 8-10 agents on the case they have an avg of 50 applications, looking at about 5-6 per hour. On an 8 hour shift they really don´t have the time to give you a benefit of doubt.
Always, always, send the asked documents and a few more to justify your stay (like in your case letter, return ticket, insurance etc.)
