Hi all,
I had applied for immigration to CIC London, got AOR in Feb 2004, and now (in May) i got a letter from CIC asking me to take IELTS within 90 days of receipt of the letter. I had only submitted the self written declaration for language ability......Now, does this letter come in as the IA? Will this again slow down the process and how longer it is going to be for the medicals.....really frustrating!!!

(in reply to: Request for IELTS) I am not sure if this "IS" the IA, I am guessing its not. But its very clear that you give the IELTS test and send the scores before the time they have mentioned in the letter.
I think when they ask for medicals / back ground check etc, that is when you can be sure you have crossed the IA stage. Maybe at this time they need you to prove your English skills to make up the points for immigration.
