Subject: Time Line for Interview
  Hello Friends,

I applied in Nov 2003 from Bufalo and recieved my File # in Dec 2003.
I recived my medical papers and a letter specyfing that I will be having an interview in Candadian Consulate in NY and that my file has been placed in a queue waiting transfer and I wil be informed once my file is transferred and then I will get a letter from the NY consulate specifying the date of Interview approximately 2 months befor te interview date.

Any idea how much it will take for my interview from now on and also if I submit my medical right away will my case be processed sooner. Please advise.

Thanks
Steven

Any

Hi,

It will take 10-12 months to get your second assessment(for interview decision) by NY.

Never do medicals unless you are informed. Medicals have validity of one year.

It is because I read that other thread I ask my question..

I quote "At least a year after transfer.Patience is the key."

Does that not differ from 10 to 12 months? The post says file has not yet been transferred to New York.

Jahmal,

Just read this:
===============================
"Hello,

How long after the file transfer can we expect an interview letter?

Thanks

[19-07-2004,15:06]
ZouZou"
===============================

Regardless of file transfer; the question was asked - "How long after the file transfer can we expect an interview letter?"

And I answered subsequently!

There could possibly no other interpretation of the question!!!

Anyways, in general, if the file is transfered (e.g., to NY), then NY processes files transferred a year before for the interview decision.

Hope this explains further.

What is your answer to Steven´s original question "Any idea how much it will take for my interview from now on?"

1. A year after transfer
2. 10 to 12 months from now

Two answers to basically the same question but there is a big difference.

Jahmal,

My answer is still the same. It takes 10-12 months after you receive a letter (letter of file transfer) from the consulate.
