Subject: What if the minimum passkmark increases
  Hi all,
I have applied to CIC 6 months ago and just received the AOR only. I´m very concern about new laws that would increase the passmark score more than 67 coz I´m exactly 67 so if they increase it 67.25 will that jeopardize my case.

Hope noo

Best of luck to u all

You have applied at the time when the passing mark was 67. Even if they change it it will not affect your application.

Hi all,

According to the provisions of IRPA, application CAN BE rejected if the point system is changed before visa stamping.

Yes Sanrup, I heared what you said but this is not logic at all because when CIC needs money for any reason they will decrease the passmark to 67 or even 65 then one million applicant will applay who will pay at lease one billion CDN doolars and then simplay CIC would increase the passmark 75 where all those million applicants will be rejected and CIC made billion dollar in profit
COL COL COL COL COL ( cry on line )

HI all

read the excellent discussion on the issue at "BritishExpats" discussion forum under "Passing mark and retroactivity" thread.

Future higher pass mark will not retroactively affect application already submitted.

I agree with sanrup. The problem with CIC is that they give provisions which are only favorable to them and not on pending applicants. My application is still in progress and my greatest nightmare is the increase of the passing score.
