Subject: Finger Printing for Canadian Immigration
Hi,
I live in Connecticut, USA and trying to find out from where I could get my finger printing done and get the police clearance certificates? Is there any website where I could find this information? I went to local police station but no luck....they have no clue.
Thanks a lot.

Hi,

1) Go to the local police station OR private fingerprinting service. If local police station is unable to provide fingerprinting card then it can be obtained from the address mentioned in the end
2) Mail complete FP card to the FBI at the mentioned address
3) Attach a certified check or money order of US$18.00 for each applicant payable to the ´Treasury of the United States´
4) When your FBI card is returned to you with a stamp from FBI, send it to the Canadain Consulate office (from where you applied)
5) Do not forget to mention "For Canadian Immigration Purpose" in the space provided for the REASON on the card. This speeds up the process
6) The mailing address is:
============================
FBI Criminal Justice Information Services Division
Attention: SCU, Mod D-2
1000 Custer Hollow Road
Clarksburg, West Verginia 26306 USA

My opinion is to take the services of private agencies. They charge approx. US$25.00/FP card. You will be able to save the time and trouble. They have evrything ready. No wait, no aggravation.

Hope this helps.

I agree with the previous post. Somewhere I´ve heard that fingerprinting forms can also be obtained from an FBI office (by a written request I presume). Then you can take those forms to a local police office and have your fingerprints taken.

We had the same problem with New Jersey police, so we simply went to NYC and had everything done for 25$ per form on Braiton Beach, no questions asked.
