Still i have question about work permit.
As you may remember i have a job offer.
will i able start to work immediately after we cross the border or no one can work untill we recieve our permanent residernt card and social security number.

Hi,
I found this on the Canadian Embassy website for Paris. So I believe this should answer your question.
I have received my permanent resident visa and the Confirmation of Permanent Residence form (IMM5292). How soon after I enter Canada am I legally authorized to work?
You will be allowed to work as soon as the officer at the point of entry to Canada grants you admission as a permanent resident. You do not have to wait until you have received your Permanent Resident Card or Social Insurance Number.

SIN would be required by your company and I?ve been told it takes up 2 weeks to get, from the moment you enter. On the other hand, did you get your HRDC approval? I?m waiting mine but seems to be delayed till goverment sets new rules.

Tatyana you don´t need any HRDC clearance, it´s only for foreign workers in Canada...you can start working as soon as you land. PR´s are treated almost like citizens.

Yes you can work at once. Just go to apply for the SIN on the next day after landing and use the give receipt for the job application. That receipt is acceptable formaly as a SIN card.

great, great news.
the hospital already schedule first workday for me. so, i was concern about how i can do it so soon, but now everything looks very good.
