Subject: If a document gets lost....
  People,

after IA in november I provided CIC with all the documents they required. According to my lawyer only the police certificate from rcmp isw missing.

What happens if it has been lost? Will they require me to send again the fingerprints? Will they contact RCMP to know?

thanks

call up RCMP and check for your file... getting the RCMP results can take some time...

There was the contact no. of RCMP in this forum somewhere... do a search and you will get the info.

Call them leave a message and they will either get back to you or somehow inform you about the status of your background check.

Good Luck,
HS

Ohh one more thing... once you submit the RCMP fingerprints you dont get the results directly... they are forwarded to the CIC directly.

so if you are expecting it then forget it you wont receive it... they will be with the CIC

thanks man, but I already know that rcmp has completed the police certificate, forwarded it to cic in march! the problem is that CIC didn´t close my case yet....that´s why I´m afraid they lost it someway...
