Subject: Pregnant
  Hi all

have another question. Landed last week and is waiting for me PR Card. I will return to the Philipines and complete my contract there before moving to Canada next year but will leave CA before I actually get my PR Card..

We plan to get pregnant this year meaning I will be pregant next time I will return to Canada to stay.

How will the Canadian Customs react to this???

Does anyone have experience rgd this? Dont want to be held back because I am pregant!!

No you should not be... because anyways your child will get the immigration as the parents are immigrants...

Second thing which is more important is that will the airline allow you to fly. Its a bit unsafe for a pregnant woman to fly...
But anyways you should not worry about being pregnant and comeing to Canada. You can say that you are coming to Canada permanantly now and will be staying in Canada and not anywhere...

I don´t think that the baby would be an immigrant but if he/she is born in Canada then he will be a canadian citizen anyway, the problem will start if he/she is born outside canada, then you need to sponser him which is a long process unless you can get him entering canada as a visitor until his PR application is finished.
So the best thing is to plan to give birth inside Canada, but again you need to go well before the due date to avoid airline restirction on pregnant women and to be sure that you would be covered for health care as most provinces will require 2-3 months after landing
