hello guys and gals,
A friend just got his caips, he made 72 points in total.
In the same week he got his IA where it mentions in the document list page " Provide English and/or French language assessment by a designated institution or organisation ( refer www.cic.gc.ca)"
He claimed french basic skills but got no points and caips noted that there is insufficient evidence for french skills, so zero points
Anyone with the similair suituation. Is it advisable to take IELTS at this stage after caips showing selection made with 72 points. Or just a letter would do.
Please provide feedback. Thanks

(in reply to: advice please - Post IA query) Your friend must have already submitted a letter but the immigration official was not convinced by that. Therefore your friend MUST appear and provide IELTS score asap.
The points your friend saw on the CAIPS notes were from the initial paper selection. When the immigration official saw your friend file (when IA was done) s/he was not convinced with the documents your friend provided for english proficiency therefore s/he has asked your friend to appear in IELTS.
