| Subject: PP request came very close to Medical Expiry date |

If anyone had the same situation or have any information realted to this please help!
I got my PP request recently, but my Medica expiry date is in a couple of weeks. This means by the time I get my PP back from CIC Buffalo, my Medical would have expried or maybe a couple of days left to go.
Does this mean I have to pack up and leave within a few days or would they give me atleast a month or two? Will have to do another Medical?
Similar experiences please send me details

In similar cases in the past CIC Buffalo is kown to have given a couple of months to land. But no one can say for sure how much time you will get - you will have to wait to get your passports back to know that

IF YOU ARE IN US
if ypu can... then go to buffal, get the visa stamped.... and enter canada same day....
after that if you have to leave canada do that... once you get your PR card enter in Canada using it ot may be worst case get a landing permit for like $50 or so from the consulate and land in Canada.
IF YOU ARE IN CANADA with no US VISA
then send some one with a authorization letter and ask your friend to get it stamped for you and enter canada.. this will just save some time and a lot of tension and money...
IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SENT YOUR PASSPORT TO BUFFALO
write them a fax and ask if they can expediate the process... they take exactle 2 weeks to send the passport back.

Don´t worry. Buffalo will extend your medical long enough for landing no matter where you are. At this point, they are quite flexible. Just follow the instruction stated on your pp request letter. You will be safe.
By the way, could you please share your timeline with us?

Application sent - Nov 2003
Application accepted - Dec 2003
Medical/FBI requested - July 2004
Medical sent - July 2004
FBI/Additl info sent - Sep 2004
Address Verify/Backgroud checks - Nov 2004
PP request - June 13, 2005
