Subject: Cover Letter
Do anybody have a sample copy of cover letter. I recently got married and want to update my profile. Just along with the documents i want to attach cover letter. If anybody got a sample it would be easy for me to compile.
I heard from some consultant that there is a chance of increase in points. it might go up to 78 after the election(ie first week of july). If that is the case what will happen to those already under process?

Well even if CIC will increase the passmark to 78 this will not affect people who already applied and got their AOR file number. If they are right about the 78 passmark this will dramatically affect ppl who still want to apply. Their chances will be nill!
Good Luck to all

but there isn´t going to be an election this summer. well probably not -- no election has been called yet in any case, so there certainly will not be an election by July. Most likely this government will last until fall, maybe until spring.

In any case, the rumors about a point increase are just that -- rumors. and unsubstantiated rumors at that. don´t put much stock in them.

It is the job of the immigration consultants to spread such rumours in order to get you panicky and make you file at the earliest (and fall in their lap !)

78 is a ridiculous number... a few years back when the number increased from 70 to 75, even the prime minister of Canada was not eligible to immigrate... so I guess its not possible.

And these are just rumors... dont pay attention to that... regularly check the CIC website and you will see the points.

Once you apply you and then the points change... it should not matter anymore.

Last time they did it and Canada Immigration is still facing law suits... way too much hassel... so dont worry and get going

IF the points increase in future every applicant who has not been issued a visa will be effected. There is no "lock-in" date in Canadian immigration.

Consultants fool people by telling them that the points are going to increase very soon and that if they apply before that they will be safe.
