| Subject: How easy is it to get the US visa for a PR? |
I landed a couple of months ago as a canadian PR! How easy is it to get the US travel visa for a canadian PR? I want to visit my friends in the US and thereby I am seeking US visa.
any comments and suggestions are welcome

Hi dude,
Its not hard to get US visa if you have canadian PR. You shud be fine but they might ask you the reason for your trip and few questions thats it but you can get it. It will better if you tell them you have a far off cousin ( i am not encouragin you to lie but US immigration officers are moody...few are very good and polite and few are rasict so it depends) anyways go ahead and apply..

Let me know how it goes in your interview, I will be landing soon and also plan on visiting the US. The problem is i was refused a visit visa twice here in Lebanon.

A month after my wife landed in Canada, she asked and was given a multiple-entry visa for USA, good for 10 years. It was very easy. We said (it was the truth) that we wanted a visa to transit to USA and to visit the States once and a while.
I must say that I was born in Canada.

How did you apply for this multiple entry visa? Is this a visit visa? How much is the fees? How long does it take to issue this visa?
I am also moving from US as soon as I get PP in hand but I still have to finalize a lot of things here.

This is a visit visa. You go on USA web site and there is a site where you can ask for an appointment to get a visa. It cost 100$US. Then you go to the appointment in the morning and you go back in the afternoon to receive your passport with the visa.
It is very easy.

I am a Green Card holder in the USA and I HIGHLY recommend that you DO NOT LIE to US immigration, even if they are moody, just be patient and go the right way about it.
