Subject: need HELP
Hey guys, I applied as SW to buffalo on the 16 of Feb 2005. e-client says " we start your application on 21st of March" and I received AOR on the 1st of April with file number.

1) My problem is that when I sent copy (not notarized) of my B.sc and M.Sc degrees, however i sent original transcripts stamped in both cases.

2)My second problem is that I also sent copies of my work experience letters , paying ..etc not notarized copies. All copies are so clear. I send copies of recommendation letters from my current employment as well as current and previous profs.

Regardless the above mentioned I think my application /documents where full and complete.

My questions are : its been like three months after AOR. Do you guys think that they will call me for interview (when they send me the IA) for the ABOVE reasons or just ask me for a notarized copies and then send my IA and if they will ask for the latter when can expect a reply from them. When can I EXPECT MY IA??

Your help will be highly appreciated.
Thank you guys in advance.
Regards,

Notarized (in reply to: need HELP)
I did not sent notarized copies of my diplomas and had no problem thus far (past IA).

It seems like at AOR they do some preliminary review, I know because in one of the sealed envelopes from a university they returned my check in payment for the transcript. Candada sent the check back to me at AOR, so obviously they opened some of the sealed envelopes.

Perhaps they will ask for additional documentation latter, but they seem to have accepted your application.

First... notorized copies are not really necessary but its good to have... but you should hve no problems there...

About IA... you have to wait... you are only 3 months in the queue... you have to wait about 8-10 months in total to get the IA... so for next 6 months dont worry about it...

Yes, at AOR level they check for the required papers... you must have attached the checklist of documents when you submitted the application... the immigration officer check for all papers and if there is any problem they will return your package... but if you got the AOR means all papers are good and your file is good to go...

About the interview... wait for the IA and they wll let you know if they require it... If you have been in Canada for more then 1 year then they tend to waive the interview...

If you are in the US then in most of the cases the file will be transfered to the nearest CIC office from the place where you live... Mostly Detroit, Los Angeles, or so...

If the file is transfered then it takes some time... about a couple months more...

But now for next 5-6 months just dont worry about the process and focus on learning about Canada and start preparing your move... well that is if you are outside Canada...

Cheers,
HS

Nothing else..just to submit my IELTS score within 120 days.
And after that they will take the default(?) points based on the documents which I had submitted.[I assume in that case I will not get full 16 points]

~15th Feb
Received AOR ~2-3rd April
Received this letter ~15th june !

!!

My AOR letter had just mentioned that they will start processing my file and will let me know about the status in coming months...!

Why do you say that you will not have the 16 points. If you score 7/9 on all sections , you will get the full points. Thanks for the feed back. Our timeline is the same. Keep in touch and ill give you any feedback from my side. Good Luck in your IELTS.

Rahul did they mention something about "processing applications 36 weeks before..." in your AOR.
Your answer will be highly appreciated.
