Hi Team,
I came to know about this portal through someone that you guys are a big help to those who are having different problems and difficulties with their Canadian immigration. Here, I would like to take this opportunity to discuss few important things about the immigration case which i have filed in April 2004.
I got the acknowledgement in may 2004 that the file has been received and they have start processing it. when I got the online status, it still shows "In Process". I don?t know how much time it requires more. My parents and bro/sis lives in Pakistan and their file is in Canadian embassy located in the capital "Islamabad" they me and my family is still waiting for their medical or interview.
apart from that, let me tell you that when i applied for my parents and siblings, I was single, but few months back, i got married in Pakistan and i came back to Toronto and i still need to sponsor my wife to come here.
now tell me, if I sponsor my wife, is there any chance that sponsoring my wife would affect the case of my parents and bro/sisters ?
what should I do and how do i sponsor my wife while my parents case is still under processing ... I´m kind of confused ... please guide me. The time when I sponsored my parents/siblings, I had enough money to show in taxes that i can afford and take responsibilities of my family, tell me do i need to do it again while sponsoring my wife that I can afford my family and wife all together or .. my wife case would be total separate and it won´t affect or wont make a mess my parent´s case ?
I need your guidance and the correct information regarding these confusions ... I know you can help me as you guys help others as well.
once again, let me summaries the questions for you to answer easily:
1- my parents case is still in process which was files in April 2004. what should I do to make it fast so my family can come soon. Should I fax the embassy in Islamabad and request them to make the process faster please? what should I do to make it faster and get it done...
2- at that time i was single, now I?m married and wants to sponsor my wife to come here .. What should I do? Should I file the case or wait until my parents case is not done ..?
3- will it affect my parents case if I sponsor my wife as well ?
4- How about the income and taxes? the time when i sponsored my parents, i had enough income and qualified. Now if i sponsor my wife, do i have to show the income to afford the parents and siblings again or its not important?
5- What should be those things which I?m supposed to keep in mind when applying for my wife sponsorship? I also don?t want to screw my parent?s sponsorship case with sibling.

You cant do anything but wait. They will have to wait in line like every one else. It takes on an average 24 to 38 months to complete the process.
PLEASE NOTE - That throughout the process your brother/sisters have to remain dependent on your parents.
Who is a dependent child?
Your child or a child of the person you are sponsoring will be considered a dependent child if that child
A. is under the age of 22 and not married or in a common-law relationship; or
B. married or entered into a common-law relationship before the age 22 and, since becoming a spouse
or a common-law partner, has
? been continuously enrolled and in attendance as a full-time student in a post secondary
institution accredited by the relevant government authority and
? depended substantially on the financial support of a parent; or
is 22 years of age or older and, since before the age of 22, has
? been continuously enrolled and in attendance as a full-time student in a post secondary
institution accredited by the relevant government authority and
? depended substantially on the financial support of a parent; or
C. is 22 years of age or older, has depended substantially on the financial support of a parent since
before the age of 22 and is unable to provide for him/herself due to a medical condition.

File for immigration for your wife immediately. But you will have to return to Canada to submit the application. It takes 5 to 9 months to complete the process of sponsoring spouse from Islamabad. Visit the following website and download the guides and forms:

No it will not.

There is no minimum income requirement if you have to sponsor your spouse.

Thanks alot kenny ... I really appreciate that you spent sometime to answer my concerns. i would appreciate if you could make only thing clear .
"ah i said earlier, i have sponsered my parents siblings, the total number of persons are 5 and including me is 6. I filed the case 24 monthsb back the with enogh income to sponser my parents/sinlings. now tell me ,, if i apply for my wife .. do i have to show the income for 7 persons (including my wife)? or it wont affect the case of my parents even i dont have the income as i had before .. ? will it affect my parents case or my wife´s case ?"
or i should apply with no fear with the status of my current income and it wont affect my parents case cuz that has been processed already and in the que. my parents are waiting for the medical or interview call from the embassy.
also, I am in canada and i will be processing my wife´s case from mississauga as i did the same for my parents´ case. 2 different friend´s of mine had sponsered their wives and they had their visas in 2 and 3 months. how come ??

I have to sponsor my spouse from pakistan,
im so confused about these forms, is it better to sponsor my spouse as a wife or as a fyance i mean on form it says if there was any engaement party which i didnt have because i just had a wedding cermony, is it going to be a big deal? or that nekah part should be counted as an engagement party?
Can you please please help me what to write on these forms in order do it right??? thanks alot for your help

you MUST sponsor you spouse as a wife - no such thing as fiance sponsorship. Don´t worry about the engagement party, just make sure you are proving the relationship is real, the wedding was real and that your wife is not using you to gain Canadian immigration status - (that is all CIC cares about)
