I am currently in the live-in caregiver program, and i got married last yr to a canadian resident..my husband is planning to sponsor me under the family class immigration process. my question is..what are the chances of being approved coz we asked around and the immigration said that i might have to finish first the said caregiver program ( which is 24 months of continued employment as a caregiver )..we dont know what to do..do i have to go home to my home country and do the sponsoring there or can i still stay here in canada and do it here?..what are the possible results of sponsoring here with in canada...

Spousal Sponsorship within Canada (in reply to: spousal sponsorship within canada)
Generally speaking, a spouse who:
1) is cohabiting with a sponsor; and
2) has valid temporary resident status in Canada
should be allowed to be sponsored in the family class without having to return to his or her home country. You may wish to seek legal advice however, as your circumstances may be unique.

2003 my husband went to Canada on a 3 mth holiday . 2004 my husband was arrested for working illegally,he was then excluded from Canada for overstaying his visa .2005 my husband went back to Canada and was deported on arrival.He is now trying to get back into Canada by being sponsored by a woman claiming to be his common law wife,and have they had to have been living together for the last year.He has been in the U.K.My husband is 57,he has no trade,and no savings,he also has a police record from when he was young (will that still be on file? )Can you please give me any information on what his chances are on being allowed into Canada.

i search from the internet that after 6 mos of my stay in canada as live in caregiver is it possible my husband could aply for skilled worker here as if he is qualified for the listing of skilled workers.

are you talking about moving or visiting?
visiting - he will need a visa to enter Canada.
moving - if you are not a Canadian Citizen, you must be residing in Canada to sponsor your husband. You must also be employed.(there is no minimum income requirement). While this is happening your husband must remain in Pakistan. Once you are approved as sponsor, CIC will review your husbands file to see if he qualifies. total process can be 6months - 1 year.

im pregnant now and i want my husband to come over here but i dont know what to do. i am live in caregiver, my employer are planning to hire my husband ask a family driver that they really need to. it is possible that my husband does´nt denied by the embassy? because they said i need to finish my 24months then i can apply my husband for sponsorhip program only. or after i get birth my baby can i apply or my emmployer sponsor me to become a permanent resedent here in canada? thank you so much, give me more choises or idea for what to do? I have recieved my PR card and am living in Canada, I have applied for sponsoring my wife and 3 children. I have applied at Citizenship & Immigration Canada Office in Mississauga and my family is in Pakistan. I have recieved a mail saying that the case has been processed and to wait to recieve mail and the mail was sent a month back. How long is this wait before I call them up and how long till the procedure to recieve visa keeping in view that my family´s medical expire in march 2011.

sponsorship is a 2 step process - first you are approved and then your family is approved. Do you have a letter saying you have been approved? If so, it means they have moved on to the second phase. Second phase can take 6-8 months
