Hello,
my husband?s application is in its final stage, since during background check Buffalo had requested additional documents (DUI charge from 5 years ago), and we sent those 2 months ago. Still nothing ! We faxed them, and again - no answer ! I?m in Canada, and he?s in US. They started processing his application on January 24, 2005. Is this normal during this stage (background check), when we have supplied them with all the documents to still take that long?! I thought that once they had those documents their decission wouldn?t take that long.

CIC started processing my application on Feb 4th 2005.
I am applying as sponsored family member , last thing I found out, was that they were waiting for my background check .
I don?t have any criminal charges no where , so.. just like you... waiting and waiting.
I sent a letter asking for the status of my application in March and they said that they will be reviewing my application on May 31st.
So , they work on each application under schedule , once they ask for further documentation , they schedule the review of your application.
Just seat and relax , it?s matter of time.

Thanks Andy for your reply...but do you mean that when they sent us a letter requesting additional documents and gave us 90 days to respond, they might have actually set the date to review the application again when those 90 days expire, regardless of when they actually get those documents from us?!
