I recived a mail from Canadian consulate yesterday telling my application was recived and they have created afile number for me.So, is this AOR?I am bit confused because I recived this in two weeks.ie, my application was recived by the consulate(buffalo-skilled worker category) on June 5th and this document is dated June 15th.they are processing applications applied before 36 weeks.any thoughts?

YES THIS IS YOUR AOR YOU SHOULD HAVE A FILE NUMBER. THEY MENTIONED IN YOUR AOR THAT THE PROCESSING APPLICATIONS APPLIED BEFORE 36 WEEKS, WHICH MEAN THAT YOU HAVE TO WAIT 9 MONTHS AFTER YOUR AOR DATE TO RECEIVE YOUR IA.
YOU RECEIVED YOUR AOR EARLY BY THE WAY.

wrong...anonymous..totally wrong on the IA thing...means you have to wait 9 months after your applying date or date when they receive your file..and not after AOR...any takers...

Yes , that is your AOR , that?s a comfirmation that CIC received your application and they started the process.
Initial assesment or IA will come later.
And are 9 months (roughly) after you sent the application.
