Subject: Landing
  Guys,

1) I got the landing papers (it took me 3 years) and wish to land from Port of Montreal. I got the PR under federal process, therefore is it necessary to land anywhere out from Quebec..? Since Quebec needs CSQ. In federal application form I had mentioned that I will land to Toronto. Now I changed my mind and intend to land in Montreal, is it possible..? How about the CSQ..?

2) Is it necessary to show bank balance and/or cash while landing..? is there any restriction..?

Please advice.

Ank

You can land anywhere in Canada EXCEPT Quebec.

You must land outside of Quebec. You cannot give Quebec address for your PR Card. You will have extreme difficulties to apply for SIN and health coverage without CSQ.

Land outside Quebec and after getting your SIN move to Quebec and you´ll be fine, except not having access to many free services available only to immigrants with CSQ.
