Subject: Help : family class immigration
  Hi everyone! I am a bangladeshi citizen planning to apply for canadian immigration under family class. I am 24 and my sponsor is my uncle. he is married and got 3 kids with him. He doesnt have any other relative in canada. does my uncle qualify to sponsor me as his nephew? answering this question will be much appreciated. thanks

i dont think you are qualified to be sponsored because you are 24 yrs old. double check the website, maybe i missed something?

I think there is one clause where your uncle can sponser you under family category provided that he has not spensered anyone before.. or will not sponser anyone in future... in this case the person can sponser 1 foreign national regardless of age.

So do some research on the CIC website and you may be able to get lucky...

i don´t think he can sponsor you, since he got family already.. in application says person can sponsor any relative if he doesn´t have a spouse, son, mother, father, etc, who is canadian citizen, permanent resident, or any other close relative who he can legally sponsor beside you.

I think he can sponsor you as he has no other relatives there and did not sponsor anyone before . But it will be better if you talk to a lawyer . May be they know better than us .
