Subject: PCC from Houston Indian Embassy.
Hi all members of the Forum,
I recently received my IA which asks me to submit a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) from India. Being in the US, I will have to contact and send my documents and passport to the Houston Indian Consulate, as I am in the South East.

I was wondering if there is anyone who has previous experience of getting the PCC from Houston Indian Consulate and can share her/his experience on the forum!

I am particularly interested in HOW MUCH TIME IT TOOK FOR YOU TO GET THE PCC FROM HOUSTON?

Thanks a lot in advance for your help and all the best to all of you in your processing procedures......

you can apply to any Indian consulate to get the PCC. The police clearance is done at the eiter the consulate or att he ministry of external affairs - whereever your passport was issued.

Which means if you renewed your passport at the consulate the PCC will be done at the consulate and if you renewed/applied for your passport at the Passport office/ministry of external affairs then the PCC will be done there...

It can take upto 3-4 weeks if the clearance has to come from the Passport office and it can take upto 4-5 business days if the clearace comes from the passport office.
