I wanna know that I have a friend in USA. He has applied for asylum in USA. I wanna know that if his case is denied by US Governemnt, Can he apply for asylum in canada.

Anybody can apply for asylum, but there are no gaurantees it will be excepted. Also, if the USA denies your friend, Canada may deny your friend for the same reason the US did.

I think there is a recent ruling ´safe third country´ that if you appy and fail in the US, you are automatically denied in Canada. same is true in reverse. It also is determine by where you land first. If you land in the US, then you must apply to the US - you cannot choose.

no, they will not detain you. but make sure before you come contact United Nation refugee office in your city or human right watch group and explain them your situation, so they know you are in danger. This will help you. Pakistani police is corrupt, they will not help you, especially in mix marriage & family honour issues.

We are a Christan family living in Pakistan. I would like to know how me and my fmaily can apply for Asylum to any safe country as we don´t feel safe any more in our country becuase of our Religion. As you all know through media that many Christan´s are facing problems in Pakistan. Kindly Help!

I want to about asylum in Canada as I have sexually abused by my family and they have been giving me death threats, I live seperately and secretly from them .
