Subject: A long long Wait. I Need Help...
I applied for Canada Immigration in August 2001 (From ISLAMABAD Pakistan). And still I´m waiting for hopeful answers from the embassy. My timeline is:

Application sent on : August 2001
Got Receipt of Application and Fee in: September 2001
I was given the time of 24 months
and got no reply after that. Then I
updated the Application. Sent spouse
documents in : June 2004
Embassy demanded the original
educational documents of mine and
spouse along with birth certificate
of newborn in : Novemeber 2004

I sent all those originals in : December 2004.

Now I´m waiting for some positive reply and much much worried about my original documents as I have got no receipt or letter from embassy since then.

Any kind advice will be highly appreciated.

I think we are in the same line. I also applied got my Reciept of Application in August 2001. During the whole perioed I provided all kind of updated information on my personal and professional life. The last thing I did was that I sent my and my wife´s original education documents in November 2004. I have n´t yet heared any thing yet. I hope things are smooth for us. Remember, I also have applied from Islamabad.

I also applied from Islamabad in June 2001 under skilled category. After that I recieved Razoldech Class Lawsuit in December 2004, then I wrote to the CHC Islamabad that what the hell is this they should have informed me atleast, I cannot wait till 2008 August. Two days later they called me on my cell and told me that they´ll send a letter and I have to provide the documents asked for in that letter.

I recieved a letter asking for my original documents, bank statements, IELTS within 90 days. I gave my IELTS got a 7.5 band score, with 7 in Reading, 7.5 in listening, 9 in writing and 7 in speaking. I dispatched all these docuemnts on June 9, 2005.

Now I am waiting as its been more than 3 months and I don´t know how long they are going to keep my documents with them, I am also in need of my documents and I have written them about returning back my documents but they are not replying.

Anyone has any idea that how long they take to return original documents. Some of my friends who applied through reputed consultants have recieved their documents within two months with a decision.

Abdul Moid

I think we three are in the same situation. Everything of mine is also complete.Original docs, bank stmt, Ielts etc... Inquiries are of no use, they even don´t bother to reply. I heard my collegue saying that his freind has got immigration just in one n half years quite recently and here they r taking two years just for scanning our original documents. Everything looks quite bleak.

Anyhow, so please let each other now whatever happens to the case, if by luck anybody of us gets contacted by the embassy. That will be of great help to each other. And I pray we may not have to go for CAIPS option.

By now you will you have noticed that immigration is a test of patience. I can really understand your situation as i am in the same slow moving boat. It is really frustating and time consuming process but keep your spirits high as you are almost there. I hope you will have sent your documents by registered mail or courier, so there is no question of getting it lost ( atleast the CHC is slow moving but not that irresponsible).

wish you all the best of luck

A long long Wai. I need Help (in reply to: A long long Wait. I Need Help...)
Hello Everyone,
I just discovered this wonderful website a couple of weeks ago. To say the least, it is one of the most valauble immigration sites on Canada. Most participants are quite opnme and frank and personally I have leanrt through this website to exercise patience. Even the so called experts are uncertain when it comes to time lines (processing times). So let´s all keep hanging in there and continue to encourage each other.
