| Subject: Has any one got his Initial Assessment letter |

Hi All,
What is the initial assessment letter. What often CIC indicate in that letter is it some thing like prelimanry acceptance? how often does CIC take to respond with that letter after submitting the application? Does any one who got this letter consider him self in Canada and the rest is a matter of time?
Please if any one got it let us know what did CIC say in that letter in details.

I´ve applied from islamabad since March 2001 and yet not received such kind of initial assesment letter from them.

Yes the do send you a letter (Initial Assessment). They just mention that your interview has been waived (in my case) and that you need to pay the RPRF and submit updated IMM forms.

Hi Amir,
I applied at Islamabad in Oct 2001,received a letter last Dec asking for updated application and IELTS within 6 months.Wasn´t able to do that.
No response after that.
