Subject: Proof of fund?
I´m going to apply for SK immigration soon. If i borrow money from friends just to make the proof of fund bank statement and withdraw it all back. Will the CIC check my bank balance again during the process?

yes. we have been checked 3 times. You will also have to bring funds with you when you finally arrive in Canada.

Hi there,
Well, i should CONFESS this is the Weirdest thing ever i heard about Checking the Account.
for the Record alot of people i knew they did the same thing and now they in Canada without any proplem.
i am not saying that to Encourage you JEFF to do the same but try to find another proper way to keep the money in your account for longer time.
I wish you all the best.

Yours Radi

I think Sharon means that they have been asked three times to submit their bank statements during the process.

I do not think that CIC do check our bank accounts and I also sure that banks would not allow that.

So,Young, yes you may do so.

Sharon and Saleh are right. I was asked to submit prrof of funds twice......and i did it, and they were happy. So be prepared to provide proof as requested...this is what we could advise.

Good luck.

they want to be sure that you have the funds required to settle. They want to be sure that they are not wasting their time with your application because if you arrive in Canada with no money... they will send you home. They also want to be sure you are not borrowing the money for 5 days to show a balance.

If you really want to be sure there are no problems, I would try and insure the balance in your account is always close to the required settlement amount. Even better would be to put the amount in a savings account and let it sit there. That way your 90 days of statements show the funds always being available.

do exactly what is requested on the forms. They supply you with a checklist. They will request medicals closer to the end of your application process.

In terms of your money situation, you can submit with one month of statements to start with but you must be prepared to supply them with 90 days of statements showing the settlement funds intact at any time during your application process. Like I said in earlier posts, we were requested to supply statements 3 different times.

If i submit bank balance certificate instead of bank statement then do they ask for bank statement again or ask for bank balance certificate?
