Does anybody know if there will be a BG or Security check for my wife provided that I am the principal applicant. I did my medical back in November 2004 and then got married in the same week, updated my marital status, got the medical forms of my wife in February 2005, CIC received the medical of my wife sometimes in March 2005. Since then, I have been waiting for the PP request. I am an international student in Canada and my wife is still back home.

Yes CIC is currently conducting your(if not complete) and your wife´s background and security check.
You will get passport request after the checks and medicals are cleared.
Have you sent the ROLF(RPRF)?

Yes, I already sent the ROLF when I submitted my wife docs.
Do you think that they initiated the BG and security checks for me and my wife at the same time? Or they did that for me once they sent me the medical forms?
