| Subject: getting PCC from kuwait (Indian Citizen in kuwait) |

i am an indian citizen, presently working in kuwait and want to acquire Police Clearance Certificate from kuwait for my last two and half years in kuwait. But i am unable to present my passport to Indian embassy for getting the same. Becoz my passport is with the contracting company and they are not giving me for getting the PCC. Therefore, indian embassy is also helpless. So, pls guide me how do i get it and what to do, where to go, whom to meet and what is the procedure.

Submit ur xerox copy of ur psprt to Indian Embassy.Here, in USA to get the PCC just we have to submit our details like psprt no, name, d-o-b ....etc. to the FBI.

My name is jasminder and I landed here in kuwait.
I am also facing a problem, can u please help me in this if u know as your case seems to be similar one??
I had applied for Canada Immigration 2 years back and most likely to get thru´ by this year end.
But as per the procedure, I need to submit my original passport to the canadian embassy, India for stamping of immigration visa for canada, whicg takes 3-6 months of time and till that time the visa is with the canadian embassy.
Earlier somebody told me that you can get your immigration case transfered to whichever country you are but now a days the canada embassy guys do not do it.
So can you help me, if you know what should I do as it does not make sense leaving my present job and going back to india just for the sake of an immigration visa stamp.

I am an Indian who came to india on vacation and applying for work visa to Australia.I am working at Kuwiat from 2004. What i want to know is do i have to get the PCC of Kuwait?If it is a must, can i get it sitting in India? If any one knows the procedure pls. guide me.

yupp..dear..you have to obtain PCC from the country in which your stay is longer then six months....and you can get it..from india embassy....you have to take your passport....to embassy..while submitting form...and then....again after 45 days...you have to present your passport in embassy..to collect the PCC....and take a note that you have to mention in the form that you need PCC for..Australia....immigration....ok....anything else..you can contact me...on ..6122495..i am also in kuwait..from..2002.....

Dear Chetan,
Thank you for the reply. What my problem is, i am i India at present and i already got PCC from local pp office.But, what to do about PCC of Kuwait? Do i have to come to Kuwait or can i apply to Kuwaiti embassy at Delhi? If i come to Kuwait my employer will not leave me till 6 months.So, if i come to Kuwait can i hide form he employer until i get PCC?
Pls. advise.One more thing is, i am not applying for immigration to AU.I am applying for Long stay job visa.

Dear as you mentioned that ..you want to go for long stay..then...the pcc you have taken in india is local pcc and if you need for immigration for long stay in Au...then you have to get Passport pcc as far as i think....(i do not know what the au.. immigration people wants)..for that u have to apply to the place from where you got..your passport....in india..and then they will retain your passport..with the application form..and they will..call you again ..after 15 days..and then the passport office will issue PCC paper and passport duly PCC stamped on it mentioning that pcc issued for so and so country.... similerly you have to do for kuwait also...you have to come here...so come here on some visit visa..of 45 days...and when you got everything..then leave...no probs.......and the airport authorities are not going to your employer that so and so..guy working in your company...has entered in kuwait....got it....ok then bye ....for now...if you need more assistance then you are welcome..ok...

If i am applying for different countries for diffrent work visas.Do i have to get different PCC?Suppose, i apply for Cyprus,AU,US for work visas, do i have to get different PCC?
Is it PCC explains the purpose, for which it is issued?

dear...for immigration purpose (work visa) we need to take passport pcc..and not the local pcc which you have taken...and i do not have any idea..that cyprus, us or au..will accept the local pcc or not..but i suggest it is better to acquire..passport pcc from the place whereever u stay longer than six months..and yaa..while stamping on passport..the passport office will stamp on your passport pages that pcc paper issued for so and so country......ok..i hope you are clear now....
