NO. US citizenship does not mean anything. Every one irrespective of their nationality has to wait in line.

You should inform CIC Buffalo (or where you have submitted your application for PR) that you have a new baby and that you want to add the baby to your application.

If you search the forum you will come to know the procedure to add your baby.

Please add your baby asap as an additional applicant for immigration. They will not let you take your baby with you otherwise. Your baby does not need a visa to VISIT Canada but needs to go through proper immigration process for getting PR.

New Born/ parents PR (in reply to: New born)
Hello,
I would appreciate any help we can get in this matter..

Me and my wife became PR´s in Feb 09. Since then we are living in US. We are expecting our first child in October. We want to finally settle in Canada in the month of Dec 09. My question is..

On what grounds can we take our newborn (US Citizen) into Canada?

I know that we can not sponsor the child while living outside Canada. Once we get inland we will start the application process. But the first thing is to get inside Canada.

Please be kind enough to provide any links if those might be helpful. Thanks
