I have been asked by CIC to provide proof of funds. Most of my money is invested in GIC(guranteed investment cert.).so should I encash it and transfer the money to my saving account or is GIC considered as a sufficient proof of readily available funds.secondly, If I transfer it to my acocunt then does the sudden inflation of my account need to be explained.
Thanks

(in reply to: proof of funds-sharon please help) I think your GIC´s are considered liquid cash and I would provide a statement showing both accounts.

funds (in reply to: proof of funds-sharon please help) I guess your GIC is good enough..I sent in a fixed deposit and funds in a money market fund and am also worried that teh latter fluctuates and hence may be questionable. Will there be probs with the fixed deposit or the money market funds?
