Subject: some security advice
Please treat your immigration documents with utmost care. whenever possible keep a copy of letters or file numbers in 2 places - one away from where you live (perhaps with a relative or safety deposit box. If you plan to move, consider a post box for your immigration documents so there is no interuption in delivery location. Use a courier or some method that allows you to track the post to its destination.

I am not going to get into the gory details, but we are currently fighting the consequences of stolen documents. Jealousy is a wicked thing. If we had duplicate sets of important items our life would be much simpler. To make a long story short... we may be back to square one with our application.

I don´t want to freak anyone out with this posting... just want to pass on some painfully learned advice.

That is a good asdvice. You need to worry about safe keeping with all other important documents. Your man is Moroccan... Are you quite sure he is not into under ground jihad movement? I would personally suspect a Moroccan first and then try to figure out if he has any good in him. Don´t be overcome by sex drive and make bad decisions...

first we must try and see if we can salvage the current situation. He sees a lawyer on Monday. We have a Plan B and Plan C underway. Inland sponsorship is not the best way to go. Too risky because it forfeits any opportunity for appeal. SW wait times have tripled in the past 6 months out of Paris so that has definitely changed our strategy.

will keep you posted.
