Hello Sandra,

I am beginning to wonder why a "no threat" person from Canada is not allowed into the US and a "no threat" person from the US is not allowed into Canada, especially since they are married.

I am having serious reservations about making any commitment to invest into Canada through our nanotechnology company if this type of "border hassle" is going to be the norm rather than the exception.

I have vendors in Markham, Ontario, Mississauga, and New Brunswick that will be involved in a US$68 million project to manufacture and deliver 250 of our nanotech machines to our US Plant.

I respectfully ask that this matter get addressed, sorted out immediately, or we will see if the vendors in Canada or plant locations can be placed with other companies. At this time, going from the U.S. to China is easier and that tells me something is seriously amiss, or being overlooked, or someone is not doing their job.

I am available to answer any questions you may have, and I think the time is long past due to resolve this matter of Marie and Ashley being together.

If something is known on that side that they have not shared with me, I would understand but in the absence of that the current situation is not acceptable or forgivable.

I too have been hassled coming across that border even while on the way to meet with people about making significant commitments to invest in Canada. United We Stand, and as it is now, not so sure that motto applies.

best regards,

Karl

both countries have bad experiences with spouses who cross the border and never return and therefore reside illegally. Both countries have bad experiences with marriages for the purpose of immigration. Your friend send a letter making a comment that both Canada and US appear to hold the same policy.

I highly doubt that anyone has the will to change this law/rules any time soon.

Paragraph 36 (2) (B) (in reply to: Letter sent to Stephen Harper from Karl Schwarz)
Check the amended law, Paragraph 36 (2) (B) of the Immigration act. When Ashley tried to enter Canada, at least 5 years were elapsed (in fact, almost 10) and the amended law was made on July 2004 so 4 months BEFORE my husband was refused to enter Canada even as a visitor.

Canada don´t even respect their own Immigration laws. I have the proofs with me so nobody can say the contrary. That is why Karl Schwarz sent this letter to Stephen Harper. Or Stephen Harper did not see this letter or he doesn´t know who is Karl Schwarz. Just put Karl Schward in the search engine you have on your computer and you´ll see this guy is serious.

Thank you.

OK, so you have added a criminal conviction to the mix. I think you have posted in this forum before under a different name. Not sure what you expect the members of this forum to do that might help you. See a laywer.

Why are you writing to the Official Opposition Leader? I beleive the Minister in Charge of Immigration, is a member of the Liberal Party of Canada. I was told as much when I lived in Calgary, and personally spoke to Sandra. Stephen Harper´s office answered all my questions (in regards to helping me understand immigration law) but also told me there was nothing they could to to speed up, or influence Immigration decisions in anway at all.

Stephen Harper, can do as much to overturn Immigration decesions as I do.

Even if he has read your letter, there is nothing he can do. If Stephen knows, or does not know Karl Schwarz, it does not make any difference.

If you want to make some real noise, perhaps start writing the CBC, or one of the big newspapers. There is nothing Mr. Harper can do for you, even if he wanted to.

Dave

Nanotech machines ????????
Nanotechnology is still in a very early experimental stage.
If this Karl has invented a "nanotech machine" ( whatever that might be ), he´ll get a Nobel prize for sure.
Maybe he´s selling the Eiffel tower and London bridge too ?

If they aren´t able to apply the amended law published on July 2004, Paragraph 36(2)(B) written in the Immigration act, when my husband tried to enter Canada on November 2004 i.e. 4 months later, then I guess I see the tip of the Iceberg....

She was supposed to let Ashley pass because 5 years were elapsed according to the amended law. Two DWI´s old convictions in 1979 and 1995. Almost 10 years. I have the law with me and the papers Almighty Mona Scott gave to Ashley so nobody can shut my mouth simply because I know what I am talking about.

The law is the law and I am sure a Prime Minister or a Minister of Immigration or a leader of the opposition party is able to undo what a little Immigration border agent did...if we aren´t in the same situation than with the Gestapo....

I had been fooled by the Prime Minister Paul Martin on Nov. 29th, 2004 saying the Minister of Immigration will give my views every consideration. Joe Volpe proved to me he did not have consideration at all for me by these three proofs: 1) the email wasn´t signed; 2) no subject title; 3) sent on Sunday. Yes, from his investigation office called: the Ministry Inquiries.

My question is: Are we in Canada or in Germany in the years ´40 since it is the same situation than the Gestapo? We don´t care if the Almighty border agent Mona Scott is right or wrong since she is from the Immigration Gestapo force? Is it what I need to understand?!?! That is why Karl Schwarz wrote to Stephen Harper. Read his letter again. Because this situation is not making sense at all. It is called: insanity.

I still don´t know what a "nanotech machine" is supposed to be .For all you folks out there that don´t know what nanotechnology is, here´s a definition of it I took from the net :

"the science of manipulating atoms and molecules to fabricate materials, devices and systems. Unlike current production methods, in which existing parts and components are combined, nanotechnology takes atoms and precisely assembles them to produce items with desirable characteristics. Objects are built in a manner similar to the way bricks are stacked on top of one another to build a wall. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the term ?nanotechnology? was coined in 1974."

As you can see, nanotechnology is still science fiction and someone telling that they want to produce 250 of those "nanotech machines" is probably pulling your leg.

Who is Steven Harper? And what does he harp about? Does he have guts or integrity? Is he a friend of Bush and how is he going to help you get into the US? I personally don´t worry if you did drugs and such.... but if it is violent crime or other serious felony involing property damage, I would like to erect a big fence at the border.... But your decision to move to US is commendable and is good for you in the long run...

Perhaps you can use the nanotech machine to tele-port yourself across the border? You may even be able to do this while intoxicated, not like driving, which would constitute a very serious CRIMINAL offence... one which kills and seriously injures thousands of innocent people... not to mention property damage, insurance costs, court cost, family suffering, and the cost of RIDE programs ect. The only thing worse than getting caught drinking and driving, would be to get caught drinking and driving twice.
