| Subject: Police clearance certificate from Saudi Arabia |

Hi,
I just now received the request for medical forms and police clearance certificate.I am presently in USA. I worked in Saudi also. I am from India. They are asking me to submit the police celarance certificate for all the countries i resided including Saudi Arabia but saudi arabia does not give police cearance certificate to temporaray residents. What should i do. Please help.

Dear Saurabh,
Temporary residents (Moslems only) currently living in Saudi Arabia should obtain police certificates as outlined Directorate of Saudi Arabian Civil Police for citizens. Saudi Arabian police certificates are not available to all other temporary residents, including those who have previously been temporarily resident in Saudi Arabia.

Dear Saurabh,
For the following countries, police certifcates should not be obtained before applying for permanent residence. You may receive special instructions at a later date about police certificates for these countries.
Afghanistan
Honduras
Thailand
Australia
Hong Kong Ukraine
Costa Rica New Zealand United Kingdom
Fiji
Poland
Venezuela
French Polynesia Saudi Arabia
Singapore
Fill out this form and send it to them.

If you cannot obtain police certificates, you must provide a written explanation with your application and an original letter from the police authority confirming that they will not issue a certificate.

hi Saurabh,
one thing, Can you approach the Saudi Embassy in USA or Consulate or just call them and ask them about this matter, if they said they cant issue this kind of certificate for you then ask them to provide you a letter indicating same addressed to canadian embassy, by this you will be in the safe side,

You don´t require PCC if you have lived and worked in Saudi Arabia. CIC is aware that Saudi Government does not issue PCC for anyone, its clearly stated in the Guide Lines. Even I lived and worked in Saudi and did not enclose a PCC for Saudi Arabia.

Hello Everybody,
The US Consulate is also aware that you do not get a PCC from saudi arabia and that´s fine too. If u are presently residing in Saudi Arabia u can obtain the PCC from the Embassy also. Following are the required certificates and some details also.
o Original Passport (including subsequent additional booklets if any)
o Photocopy of inside cover pages and other relevant pages of the passport.
o Two passport size photographs.
o Letter from Embassy which has asked for Police Clearance Certificate.
In case, the present passport was issued by the Passport Issuing Authority other than Embassy of India, Riyadh (or issued by Riyadh within the last one year), a reference is made to the original/previous passport issuing authority and may take a few weeks time for the confirmation to be received. The PCC is issued only after receipt of such confirmation.
Saudi has clearly mentioned that they do not issue a PCC for the 3rd country nationals and so are the things understood by everyone.
So, friends do not worry. My frieds also went for the consulate Interview without the PCC from saudi and they were not asked for the same. They also got the Visa stamped.
