My AOR is dated Feb -24, 2005. I am waiting for IA. I´m in USA and did my college from US. I didn´t think that I would need IELTS as I did all of schooling in English medium. But now I´ve noticed that they are us to take IELTS even though you did you college from English speaking countries. So I was just wondering if anybody else has felt same. I´m thinking of preparing for IELTS and registering it for later so that I don´t spend more time just in case if they require me to take.
I don´t know what is the approximate time frame that I would likely to receive IA and if they ask for IELTS then when would they ask? Also does anybody have any idea about the refund policy after you register for the IELTS test. If I can get the refund if I don´t take the test then I´m thinking of registering it for oct - nov coz I think we should get IA by then. And if they don´t require IELTS then I cancel the test and if not go a head and take the test on the registered date.
Suggest me in this matter.

I will strongly reccomend that you appear in IELTS now. The reason is that if they request you to provide the IELTS score then they give you a very limited time. Say for some reason you are not able to get the required score in IELTS then you will get into trouble.
If you have had your education in English and have completed college from US IELTS should not be a problem.
I have been called for an interview in NY. Although they did not ask me to appear in IELTS but I have done it and believe me it was easy. I have had my education in English throughout and completed Masters from US.

Interview required in NYC.
Still waiting for my file to be transfered from Buffalo to NYC.
Appeared in IELTS in April 2005.
