I am stuck in Canada after visiting the US. My fiance and I are engaged and I guess that is all it took for them to ban me from entering the US again. I dont know if it was the ring on my finger or the fact that I didnt have a returned flight booked.
Anyway, Now he has to file for a fiance visa on Tuesday in the US. How long does this take? Of course I dont have a checkered background. I hear from 4 to 6 months or from 8 to 12 months... Just trying to see how long it will take.
Also, is there a way to speed this process up?

because I was in Canada without status and married I had to apply as humanitarian case. My husband sponsored me. It was stressing situation. After 2 years they approved. It is long I know. About applying as fiance I do not know but I heard is harder than as being married. Is better to be married.

does anyone know the waiting time after approved on H&C and submit medical, security certificate and paid the landing fee?? when do they call u if you pass those for ur PR card?

I applied in 2003 under H & C, Still waiting to get first stage interview. I called them , they said that file is in the local office in windsor & facing back logs.
