Subject: Attn: Rana or Sharon, Passport request
Hi there, I have a serious question, I have seen both of you helping the applicants a lot, so if you can answer my question that would be really great. I am a student in Canada, and right now I am in US on a visitor?s visa. I am expecting passport request from CIC, Buffalo and as I have given my Canadian address, I am gonna tell my roomate to post it to my US address and in turn I am gonna post my passport along with a pre-paid FeDex envelope to CIC, Buffalo. Am I allowed to give a return address that is my US address instead of giving my Canadian address which is on my file? (I am asking this question because I haven?t given an US address when I applied because I haven?t stayed in US for more than 6 months moreover this address won?t be anywhere in my file) Please let me know whether it is legal to do so.

P.S. Sharon. I saw you telling that July 15th is the last date for Study visas, so do you think things can be faster after that date?
Thanks a lot.

Thanks.

July 15 was submission deadline... not completion deadline. who knows how long it will take to finish processing everything.

I really do not know the correct answer to your address question.

C,
(1)At present you in USA with you´re same passport?
(2)Is it possible, you could go to Buffalo or arrange some one to go there on you´re behalf?

Rana

Hi Sharon and Rana, thanks for your quick response..

Rana,
(1) Yes I am with the same passport.
(2) I don´t know anybody who could go to Buggalo on my behalf.

So you mean to say it might create problems if I give an US return address if it is nowhere in the file when I applied?

Thanks.

Sorry for intruding c, I am new at all this and havn´t even started with filling and getting all application documents... even so... I think the best shot is to send your passport with an explanatory note, which explains that you are currently in the US and that you need your passport to be sent to that adress even though your official adress is in Canada... If you explain the situation clearly, I assume that logically it shouldn´t be a problem huh? I hope to be in contact with this forum more frequently, I have seen sharon, dave, adrian and rana really helping out there.... I hope those people who are helping the best on their pursue for Canada. I am Bolivian and am starting with the downloading of applications... the contacting people for my clearances... bla bla bla... and reading the little of the forum i have read is scaring me a lot!!!! I 1st considered this a few weeks ago when a group of consultants (the ones that charge a lot) made a conference about going to canada.... i cannot pay for their services so i have been investigating on my own... i thought it was feasable... but reading from your experiences... goshh, there are so many little details!!! and if i oversee only one of them it can mean either a messup or a long delay!!!! Even so, I am very happy with the idea of Canada... very happy... have a good day.
