Subject: Hi all... need some help here
I just realized, how the forum works... Hi all... I´m just starting the process and already I have some problems. These are my facts:

I am Bolivian, 26 y/o, single, studied university in bolivia, have experienc living abroad... love tolerance and multiculturality...
Speak english, french and spanish (mother tongue) fluently
I want to make my future in Canada (I have my hopes on it)
Will be applying for the Permanent Residence for skilled workers

Problems:
I dont have enough money to mantain myself without a job in Canada during the 1st months... so ... I need a job.

A consulting group here (the ones that cost a lot) offers you to find a job for you.. so in that case I would not need to show financial capacity for the first months. Problem: dont have money to pay them either.

Bottom line: either I am doomed before starting or I need to find a job from bolivia, before I send my application, and my employer would need to be willing to wait for me as long as my application takes to be processed!!! What are the odds of finding such a wonderful person??? can you guys help me???
thanx.

be wary of people offering to find you a job.

Hi be careful of choosing your consultants...sometimes they just provide "fake" jobs....this happened to me...my consultant provided a job from a dissolved company....be very careful....

Other option for Canadian (federal) immigration is Quebec immigration (this is faster than Federal immigration, either way you reach Canada) because you know French. Try to think about that too. Visit their website at

Good Luck

thanx mountains... i´ll check it out, although for what I have read the provincial options look for very specialized workers (which I´m not) and for all provincial applications you need to have a job offer...

Phillip

If you qualify as a skill worker , you should start looking for a job in your home country , be aware that your Immigration process to Canada might take from 12 to 36 months.
In that time start saving as much money as you can and during the processing time you could start looking for a job in Canada as well.
As bilingual speaker (french and english) plus being a professional you have good chances to find a job in Canada.

I hope it helps amigo , que tengas buen dia y tus sue?os se cumplan.

Andy, thanks a lot for your answer! Yes, I realized that it will take a while and in the meantime, I can save and also try and get a job... but the problem is that my application has to go with either one... or proof of money or a job...and since I dont have "any of the above" my application will probably not be accepted at all!!! Right??? hey, good spanish by the way, donde aprendiste a hablarlo? r u latin american? gracias por tu consejo :)
