| Subject: Would they call the bank? |

Does anyone know if they ever call the bank to verify the letter of status? My bank gave me a letter of status (with all information that is required) with a note from the banker saying to call him at this and that number for any further questions. The money on my account is not gonna stay there for long as of yet, but will be back there when the time comes (still got some stuff to pay off and will be on plus within a few months).
What about the interview? Will they need it again? An updated letter or bank statements this time?

I have read in this forum that after some time has passed there may be a request for updated bank statements (or verification otherwise) to verify you have the necessary funds as approval approaches. So, you have to have the necessary funds available not just at the time of applying, but throughout the process, from my understanding through visiting this forum.

they usually ask for 3 months of statements and give you about 60 days to produce them. we were asked 3 different times.

Thanks Sharon, Good to know the details. Is really not easy leaving all that amount of cash in the account when it could be used for some busines venture, moreso when one does not know when PR visa would be issued. Would the statement have to show the minimum balance for all the 3 months or would it be okay if one tops it upp to the minimum required after receiving the request for updated proof of funds?
