Subject: Mistakes done by consultant - Urgent
  Hello,
I am from India and applied for Candian Immigration through a consultant in India. He has done some silly mistakes on my forms and submitted it. For example, he has shown wrong job responsibilites, name of MBA college is wrong, my wife status as Work Permit etc... He has assured me that he can get it changed. I want to know, is it possible to change it, after submission??? What is the procedure to do so?? I am really worried. Please help me out...

i bet you wish you had done all the work yourself now!!
CHC have admin people whose sole job is to put extra paper work into peoples files as peoples circumstances do change and need to make amendments.
it is possible and do not worry

Hello Ash:

You need to be careful here. CIC has a single window policy i.e. they deal with either you or your consultant.

DONOT and I repeat DONOT request changes directly as it will only lead to confusion and delay.

Ask your consultant to write the mistakes on a piece of paper have you review these and then send them to CIC as a formal letter.

That has two advantages. One, you follow the procedure and donot confuse or irritate the agent at CIC. Second, you are covered. You should not send signals as if you are hiding anything. These are mistakes and one must make clear who was responsible for these.

In end if your agent is that shabby that he could not follow simple instructions as copying names correctly, well you may consider dropping him and getting another one.
