I was wondering if anyone in canada has applied for caips by themselves, without an agency?
If yes, is its also possible to FAX the caips request? Anyone having the FAX number?
Correct me if im wrong --- Any request for caips made by the applicant under PRIVACY ACT is FREE.

1. Yes, I am in Canada and applied by myself early this month.
2. Either fax (613-957-6517) or regular mail works. I did it both ways at the same time. But someone else here said fax would possibly cause delay.
3. It is free under PRIVACY ACT with proof of your residence in Canada (bank statement or phone billing with your canadian address on it).
I just called them for follow-up and was told that it has been in processing. They promisse one month standard service time after receiving your request.
