It is always interesting to know about the background check as it is not clear what goes on behind the scene.
Well, I have heard people telling that background check is randomly selected.
If that is true, then do you think ROLF is encashed after background check only?
Please let me know whether it is true.

I guess any news regarding this issue is from words of mouth!
I heard the same things. It is randomly selected. I knew an applicant (Buffalo CIC) and his gackground check took nearly 3 years to finish and he FINALLY got proved. But, during so-called background period, he took every means to track it in his home contry and no companies he had worked for has received any request about his background. I believe that is true because he has the power to know what is going on in his companies.
So, who knows what goes on behind it. Just let it go and be patient.
From this forum, I learned to be patient and knew there are many applicants have the same experience. Just let us cross our figures for every Canada PR applicants!

From my understanding, the ROLF will be encashed as soon as it arrives and it has nothing to do with the background check.
I submitted it with my application and it was encashed at that time.

I have heard noting till now.
One thing is sure: after medicals, it will take shorter time to get PP request for applicants out of Canada than those in Canada because the formers need more time to prepare for landing issue.
