| Subject: How long after letter for RPRF? |

Hello Friends,
Any ideas how long it takes after CIC send a letter to pay RPRF?My medicals are done,fingerprints sent to RCMP in apr´05..I am not sure if CIC Buffalo recived my RCMP cleraance..RCMP do not reply to querries..Is it a good news to recive such letter...any clues please.
My time line is
Applied - July 2004
AOR - August 2004
IA & MED - APR 2005
Requested for RCMP Clearance - APR 2005
Interview was waived,
RCMP clearance request sent to ottawa - 5 Apr 2005
Letter to pay RPRF - 12 july 2005.

I have the same time line like urs(Applied JUL 2004) and I became landed immigrant on JUN 2nd week.

U are lucky..they asked for RCMP clearance after 8 months,RCMp website says it takes 150 days to get a clearance..funny..isn´t it...Wait for half year to get a clearance..and the best part is me & my spouse are in canada from 3 years.

Have you paid your RPRF of $ CAD 975? (I guess it ROLF, well, never mind, landing fee) If not, do it immediately and send it by courier to Buffalo. After 5 days call the bank and find out whether they have encashed the Draft (or whatever).
But I am also having the same timeline as yours. IA April 05. I don´t know how the process works. My thinking is, they process the application according to IA dates, as per my guess according to the timeline I have seen in this forum, they haven´t opened the April 05 files yet (I am not sure, I might be wrong in my thinking). So before they open the file, make sure your application is complete.
I am not sure what I am talking abt is correct, but makes sense. Thanks.

Yes I already paid it in last week on june,but they received it 2-3 days after the date on the letter which I received from them.I have to check with Bank if it´s encashed..but they received it for sure.

I have alomost the same line with you and am waitting for the PC from RCMP (applied 11 april)
I also could not veify my PC as the RCMP did not reply email and I did not know their tel. number.

PC from RCMP, is it for applicants in Canada? Is it the fingerprint things? I have just done finger prints, and they didnt request anything else during medicals. Am I ok?

CIC Buffalo ask for fingerprint check from RCMP only from few people..there is no need for that if they didnot ask you to do that.I think they take out some cases randomly for RCMP clearance.
