I read something last night that made me think that current applicants are having to share space with those files that were on hold under the R8(*UI4 Class action suit. Those files must now be processed and included in the total annual intake targets.

that and the Background check process might be totally overwhelmed.

this is my highly uneducated guess.

My IA was in April 04. Makes me nervous to hear your stories, but I am not frustrated yet.

Medicals Sept. 2004, waiting...
Few posts below somebody said that they do (thoruogh) background checks not for everybody, but choose randomly those for whom they will do full check. I start feeling that we got among those unlucky ones... By the way, guys, what´s the last thing in your CAIPS notes?

I do not know if we will ever know how, or if they do a full check.(I think they do) all I know is it takes far too long, we don´t have much choice, and there is no other options but to simply wait or say forget it and pick a different country. Trying to predict how long things take around CIC is like trying to predict the price of gas every morning.

I think trying to predict is good. then you can plan for the worst case
