I am thinking of moving to Canada, but I am not sure I will pass the medical exam. I have a mild form of diabetes, which means I don´t have to inject insuline, but take pills.
Does anybody know if they check for diabetes when you have your medical test? If so, would that be a reason to reject a person? Are there immigrants out there that were accepted with diabetes?

Also Have Diabetes (in reply to: medical check and diabetes) Hi Hosanna,
I personally have diabetes and I applied in Vienna. I told them about it and they also knew from my medical as well.
Interview went just fine for my Canadian papers.
Now I live hapily in Canada for several years. My diabetes status is much better now and they know that this is not a very serious issue. I think that you will be fine also, unless there is something changed in the legislation about Canadian Immigration.
