hi there, I have heard interesting facts about In-Canada applicants. Is it true that the applicants´ timelines (In-Canada and Outside-Canada) is different. If not fully, atleast after Medicals?
Can we have a survey of how many months it took for In-Canada applicants to get passport request after medicals? I was told that it takes more than 6 months (most of the cases) to get passport request. Please post your or your friend´s timeline after medicals to passport request. Because I got Passport request 2 months back and relaxing with a solace that I would get passport request in another 1 month.

My timeline is:
In Canada application: May 2004
Medical and Finger prints: Jan 2005
Medical received: July 2005
Decision Made: July 2005
Awaiting letter and request for passport.
Any comments or suggestions?........

My IA was in April ´05
Documents in June ´05, ROLF June ´05 (encashed in June 1st week) Medicals reached in the third week.
All the people waiting for long time for their PP request, could you plz tell me whether the ROLF is encashed?

Medicals received: April 12th.
Medicals done: April 14th.
Decision Made/Passport Requested: June 14th.
Passport Returned: June 28th.
Good luck!
by the way, they did not request RCMP check. I saved some time this way. :)

I don´t know, RCMP means the finger prints? I did this long back couple of months before I applied for Canadian immigration. Do you think I have saved sometime too? Though they didn´t request for it.

As you would have seen from the replies, it takes around 6 months or so for all incanada applicants. there is an another forum called immigration.ca where there is a seperate section for students who applied for PR from buffalo. You would see lot of cases there where students got their PR with minimum 6 months after medicals.Sometimes more.
REgarding RCMP yeah it eans fingerprints. You have to take your file number for it or letter from CIC requesting fingetprints. i did it 20 days before i got my IA.
To cool canuck: How come you did medicals in april 14 and they received it in april 12. Also i do not believe that if they do not ask for RCMP check you will get PP request faster. they did not also ask me for RCMP check, but still no replies from CIC after 3 and half months after medicals.

the fax from buffalo said they are awaiting the background check results...
caips show everything...and that my medicals have expired...lol...now waiting for them to ask me to take them again...
it´s frustrating for sure
