Subject: Right time for CAIPS?
  Hi there,

My timeline is:

AOR July ´04
IA April ´05
Medicals and documents alongwith ROLF June ´05
(ROLF cashed on June 7th)

Doctor confirmed me that medicals reached Ottawa on June 22nd ´05. Could anybody tell me when will be the right time to order for CAIPS and send CAIPS?

If an interview will be required, order 4 weeks before the interview date. If no interview required, sit back and relax and wait for the medical request. :)

Hi there, I said I have done medicals in the first week of June ´05 and I don´t have anything remaining. I wasnt to find out because I gotta know, for In-Canada applicants it takes 6-12 months after medicals, I don´t know how far it is correct. Thats why just to find out whether they are checking Background security etc. Thats why I want to apply CAIPS. Is that fine?

Wait for at least 3 months after the medical has been sent to Ottawa to order CAIPS notes. This way you will atleast come to know the results of the medical exam.

So Jo, how long does it take to hear from CIC (in Buffalo) after Ottawa sent the medical reports?

On an average it takes 3 months for Ottawa to review the results and send them to the relevant consulate.

Getting the medical is just one part of the process. Applicant will not be informed by the consulate that the medical has been received. This information does not show up on the e-client (At least for Buffalo - in general) till the process is complete.

You will not hear from Buffalo (or any other consultae) unless the background and security checks have been complete and you have provided all the requested documents.

Right time for CAIPS posting (in reply to: Right time for CAIPS?)
Hello Kenny,
Thanks for your contribution. In my case, I completed all the other formalities. My AOR was Nov. 11, 2002. Unfortunately my first medicals expired in November 2004 and I had to take a second one which was posted to Ottawa on March 26 (this year) and was recived on March 31st. Around July 15, I noticed on my e-client that "Medical was received". Now, I am wondering how long it will take to hear from them (CIC Buffalo). My application is being processed through Buffalo and through an Immigration consultant. Any further input will be highly appreciated.

Where should Medical be sent? (in reply to: Right time for CAIPS?)
I applied from outside Canada (to CHC, London,UK). Afterwards I arrived in Canada on a Work Permit. I received the Medical Exam instructions from London and I had it done in Canada. Should it be sent to Ottawa or London, UK by the physician office? Thanks for the advice.
